Lancaster Suicide Prevention Full Coalition Meeting
September 26, 2019 –
Everyone Is Welcome
September 26, 2019 VET Supports and Suicide Prevention in Lancaster County (Note: The 9/26 meeting will take place at the Lancaster VET Center located at 1817 Olde Homestead Lane, Lancaster, PA)
November 21, 2019 The Love Letters Project (location below)
January 23, 2020 The Aging and Suicide/Depression Prevention & Local Support (location below)
Future dates are 3/19/20 and then the 3rd Thursday of every ODD month from 12 to 1 p.m.
This is a full member meeting that takes place every other month. Please feel free to bring a lunch, colleague or friend who is interested in getting involved in suicide prevention, and who is interested in our educational presentation for that day. This meeting is open to the public, professionals, attempt survivors, school students, staff members, advocates for prevention and anyone effected by suicide.
The coalition’s goal is to be an educational hub for suicide prevention and mental health education. We want our members to learn about our local resources and programs to create a better understanding of our mental healthcare community. Feel free to drop into any meeting listed on the schedule.
Note: If you are looking for a personal support group (in addition to, or as an alternative to counseling), please contact the office at 717-397-7461 and you will be directed to an appropriate support meeting. The coalition meetings focus more on education and advocacy, though we welcome survivors sharing their stories as a contribution to the topic being discussed each meeting.
